On May 21, 2010 the annual Medford Police Department Awards
Banquet will be held at the Rogue Valley Country Club. Our keynote
speaker is Dr. Bill Lewinski of The Force Science Institute. Dr.
Lewinski has studied police and deadly force incidents for several
decades and over 1,000 Officer involved encounters. Dr. Lewinski is
an expert witness in court for high profile cases in both the U.S. and
United Kingdom. Dr. Lewinski teaches ground-breaking research
that has saved Officers’ lives on the street and prevented prison time
for law enforcement wrongfully accused of misuse of deadly force.

Habitat For Humanity Build
Saturday, May 1st, the Medford Police
Department, with the support of the Medford
Police Association, is assisting Habitat for
Humanity with a home build. The build is open
to any department employee and their family
members (16 and over). The build will go from
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
You do not need any construction experience to
participate; a foreman will be on hand to show
participants what to do. They provide tools but if
you are particular about the kinds of tools you
use, you can bring your own.
We will be spitting the build into two shifts: 9 AM -
12 PM & 12 PM - 3 PM. You can pick either shift
or volunteer for both. If you are interested, please
send MPA President Shannon Reynolds an
e-mail.
